Parallel Technologies, an industry-leading facilities and IT infrastructure company, has hired Lisa Mountain as a senior account manager within its Building Infrastructure business. In this role, Mountain will assist clients in implementing network-based technologies to improve safety and security, energy sustainability and operational efficiency.

“Today’s intelligent buildings are dependent on a system of network-based technologies that requires different thinking to be successful,” explains Joe Reger, sales director at Parallel Technologies. “Whether new, an update or a retrofit, implementing a building infrastructure project, requires extensive upfront evaluation and planning. Lisa’s knowledge of complex security and ‘client-focused’ commitment makes her a great addition to this department”

A seasoned account manager, Mountain joins Parallel Technologies after more than a decade of security experience first with Minnesota-based Hannon Security and then Universal Protection Service, the nation’s primary security provider from commercial office and retail properties.

While there, she oversaw projects and clients within the security division. Additionally, she was involved in the coordination between security and law enforcement agencies during the 2008 Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minn.

Active in the security industry, Mountain currently serves as the Membership Chair for the Minnesota chapter of the American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS); a position she has held since 2010. Additionally, she is a member of the Building Owners and Managers Association International (BOMA) and earned certification from the International Foundation of Protection Officers (IFPO).

Before moving to the security industry, Mountain spent more than a decade in broadcast radio sales first in Grand Forks, North Dakota and then at WLTE/CBS Radio in Minneapolis.

Mountain has an undergraduate degree in Public Relations and a minor in Aviation Administration from the University of North Dakota. She lives with her husband and two children in Burnsville, Minn. Mountain serves her community through various committees supporting School District 191, and co-chaired the School District 191 Levy Referendum campaign.
