Company behind design and build is also working on upgrading two more facilities in South Dakota.

American services provider Midco has announced it will build a $12m data centre in Fargo, North Dakota, to help the company grow its reach.

Midco is an internet, networking, cable TV, phone, data centre and managed services, home automation and advertising services provider.

At total build, the site will offer 44,000 sqf, however, the first phase of construction is planned to deliver just 16,000 sqf of that value housing 250 cabinets of IT equipment.

Construction is due to start this month. The data centre design and construction has been tasked to Parallel Technologies, a data centre and building solutions company.

The company has also been engaged to provide services in support of upgrade projects at Midco’s two other data centers in Sioux Falls and Yankton, both in South Dakota.
