In early December, Parallel Technologies opened its doors to valued customers and partners for the 2014 Client Appreciation event. Each year, the Parallel Technologies Warehouse is transformed into somewhat of a bistro type setting where guests can have a good time and socialize. As noted by Dale Klein, President & CEO of Parallel Technologies: “This event is a great time to connect with clients and key partners in a more personal manner; which is always a good thing.”

Around 200 people filled the warehouse this year to enjoy a food buffet, an assortment of wines and locally brewed beer. In addition to dining, guests had much more to take part in; a friendly competition on Parallel’s recently installed golf simulator, partner booths to check out, raffle drawings to enter, and plenty of casual conversation.

Now, THAT’S Entertainment!

Entertainment for the event was provided by, “FlashMob,” a band who just happens to have one of Parallel’s own as its lead female vocalist—Jamie Nelson Masur. Jamie also took the lead with Kim Baumgartner in planning and organizing this celebration which included an impressive technology showcase on top of all the food, beverages, entertainment, prize drawings and quality networking available. Another Parallel team member, Aaron Brendel, Solutions Architect, personally cooked the pork; it was unanimously deemed delicious!

Shared Knowledge

During the festivities, several education sessions were available for guests to attend. One was held in the Parallel Integration Center (PIC) and was particularly noteworthy.

Some of Parallel’s top minds presented a debate between three types of data center options: cloud, colo, or design & build. According to feedback received, those present learned a great deal about what needs to be considered while making this decision. There will be more on this important topic at our upcoming forum event in March, held at TCF Stadium. Be sure to watch for details!

Many People, Many Thanks

Dale Klein is grateful to everyone at Parallel who pitched in to make this event worthwhile and fun for all who attended: “I am thankful and blessed to have such a great group of people on the Parallel Technologies team. Thank you to all the employee volunteers who jumped in to take care of items that needed attention. It was noticed and appreciated!”
